ISUA Ensemble

 

Why ISUA ?

The word "isua" is symbolic, in Eskimo, it means "The farthest you cans go ". It also designates a sedimentary terrain more than 3,8 billion years old where one finds fossils of Blue Algae. The distant past rejoins man's spirit of adventure.

 
For Michel Deneuve, ISUA is the realisation of an idea he had several years ago to create an ensemble of musicians and instruments from various cultures ; A musical and cultural mix towards which this century leads us.

The ISUA Ensemble undertest large repertoire ranging from occidental to oriental and the ethnic music from the past as well as today.

 

It's primary purpose remains the creation of works for Cristal and instrumental ensemble.

The instrumental composition of the ISUA Ensemble is one that can be varied. The basic composition is :

The lasted recording by ISUA is the CD "Danse de Dunes" (on sale in october 2002), a homage to all the deserts visibles et invisibles.

 

 

Today, the ISUA Ensemble offers the firts CRISTAL Ensemble.
